Initial Meeting Follow-Up

We were grateful to have three members of the Casper City Council and the leader of the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce attend, offering valuable advice, much of which we'd already implemented. While change can take time, we remain committed to continuous growth and improvement as a city. To be perfectly clear, collaboration is the goal. It’s the “what’s in it for me?” Everyone benefits from improved communication.

Moving forward, we’re adjusting our approach. Many of the 144 organizations I reached out to were unable to attend, which I understand. Rather than trying to gather everyone in one place, I will focus on rallying support from these organizations as resources while pursuing a grassroots campaign with the youth of our community. We can have help from the top-down as mentors for the bottom-up support.

It was recommended to talk with Visit Casper about their Young Professionals program. The Casper Area Young Professionals had a meeting from 5:30-6:30pm on April 10th at Frontier Brewing Company. While I was out of town at a professional development conference, I wish that I would have been able to attend. I look forward to their next meeting.

One of our new focuses is on supporting new teachers in the Natrona County School District. Our goal is to help young, visionary educators implement programs that not only benefit students but also support teacher retention. When teachers feel empowered to take action, they are more inspired and engaged in their work. This benefits the entire Casper community: teachers feel heard and valued, students gain enriching experiences beyond the standard curriculum, parents see their children developing a love for learning, local schools thrive with innovative programs, and businesses benefit from increased demand and potential future leaders.

Moving Forward. Together.
